Preparation is Half the Battle
Make sure to plan your journey to Saas-Fee. In summer it's easy. But in winter, we like to warn visitors about a few potential challenges.
Make sure your car is equipped for winter with winter tires (consider bringing snow chains too), winter-safe fluids and a strong car battery. With high levels of snow and low winter temperatures, it's best to be prepared so there are no surprises. If arriving by public transportation, give yourself enough time to transfer at stations between trains and busses, especially if you are carrying a lot of equipment or luggage.
With good planning, your journey into our magnificent mountain scenery may already be a part of your vacation.
